Block Bus Sessions at The Hamlet
January 3 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
What are Block Bus sessions?
The Block Bus™ is a specially converted vehicle where we run individual sessions and groups for children, young people and families. The sessions are usually focused around social and emotional needs. Some of the sessions we run may be about:
• improving communication skills and group work skills,
• helping understand and manage emotions,
• building resilience and self esteem or
• teaching about social interaction.
We often use Lego® but the Block Bus is full of other resources too, and we tailor the sessions to suit the young person and family.
Who runs them?
Caryn Saunders will run the sessions. She is a very experienced practitioner who works for Alpha Inclusion and has been trained to run personalised activities to suit the person or people taking part.
Caryn has also been trained in ‘Attention Autism’, ‘Building Blocks for Communication’ and ‘Lego Therapy’.
